Emerson Women's Basketball Takes St. Thomas
Welcome to Lauren Madigan's Personal Fundraising Page!

I invite you to help my team experience a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I joined the Emerson Basketball team this year as a last minute decision, and have been having a really great time with the team. I found out that they were trying to participate in a tournament in St. Thomas, but couldn't do it without a little help. Now we are trying our absolute hardest to make this work and generate the funds we need to have this once in a lifetime experience.
Even the smallest amount of help received means a lot. Not only to myself, but to the entire team.
We are the Emerson College Women's Basketball Team! As a dedicated Division III program, we strive at balancing both our rigorous academic work and our athletic schedules.
We are proud to represent
our college on the court and have been gearing up for an amazing 2014-2015
season.

From December 17th to the 21st, the Emerson College Women's Basketball Team will be attending a tournament in St. Thomas. With your support, we are hoping to fundraise 6,500 dollars to offset the costs of this trip. The funds that we raise will help cover the costs of flights, transportation, food, and lodging for the members traveling and competing in the tournament. We strongly believe that this tournament will get us ready for the season ahead, as we will be playing competitive opponents and also getting the opportunity to bond as a team. Emerson College is renowned for their rigorous academic programs, and as such it has been challenging to focus on fundraising in the past due to academics being our first priority. Your support will allow us to remain committed students while giving us the opportunity to compete against top teams.

As an athletic program at Emerson College we also take great pride in our community service efforts. This year, we thought that we would reach outside of our local Boston community and take advantage of our trip. So while we are in St. Thomas, we will be working with a local school to bring basketball into their classrooms. We are so excited to be reaching out to these children and sharing our passion for learning as well as athletics. As a Division III program, most of us will continue on to pursue our interests outside of basketball, so we hope to inspire these children to pursue their dreams.

If you can, please support Emerson College Women's Basketball in our hopes to Take St. Thomas! Please feel free to share our campaign page with others who would like to contribute to the cause!
We sincerely thank you all for your continued support of our program!
